"Kakashi Gaiden ~ Senjō no bōizuraifu ~ Kōhen" (カカシ外伝～戦場のボーイズライフ～後編)

As Obito finds Rin and the Hidden Rock ninja, he is detected by them. When Obito is attacked, Kakashi arrives and saves him. As the battle progresses, Kakashi loses his left eye. Obito manages to awaken his Sharingan, and kills the Rock ninja. As Kakashi and Obito manage to distract the second Rock ninja, they manage to save Rin. Before leaving however, as the Rock ninja uses his Earth Style Ninjutsu, the cave begins collapsing. When a massive rock falls on Obito and crushes his right side completely, Obito decides to give his Sharingan to Kakashi, as a gift for his promotion. Before dying he asks Kakashi to protect Rin. After that, Kakashi kills the Rock ninja using his Chidori, and he declares that he will protect Rin. After he awakes and he finds out that Rin is safe, he destroys the bridge, completing his mission.

"Kakashi Gaiden ~ Senjō no bōizuraifu ~ Zenpen" (カカシ外伝～戦場のボーイズライフ～前編)

More than ten years ago, during the Third Great Ninja War, the future Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, assigns young Kakashi Hatake, Obito of the Uchiha clan, and Rin, a medical ninja, on a mission to destroy the Kannabi Bridge. After Kakashi utilizes his new jutsu, The Chidori, Minato warns him not to use it, as it is incomplete. During the night, Minato tells Obito about what Kakashi's father had been through, and how he died. The next day, Minato departs. Later, as Rin is kidnapped by a Hidden Rock ninja, Kakashi and Obito begin arguing whether to save Rin or not. Obito ignores Kakashi's order to continue with the mission and leaves to save Rin.

While fighting with Sasuke,Jugo remembers how he met his friend - Kimimaro,and what he experienced with him.After Sasuke tells Jugo that Kimimaro has died for his sake,Jugo agrees in going with them,believing that Kimimaro is reincarnated in Sasuke.After gathering them and informing them that his goal is to kill Itachi Uchiha of the Akatsuki,Sasuke names his team "Hebi".Both Naruto and Sasuke declare that they have only one target - Itachi Uchiha.

While approaching, Karin explains that the Northern Hideout is a site for conducting horrific human experiments. She also explains, that as a person with abnormal homicidal impulses, Jugo is the sole carrier of the enzyme necessary to create Orochimaru’s Curse Mark. Upon arriving, Sasuke and his team are attacked by a massive number of rampaging prisoners, however Sasuke and Suigetsu manage to suppress them. Once Sasuke is attacked by Jugo, he expresses that he only wishes to talk with him.
